During these trying times, with the worldwide outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we provide prayers below. Pope Francis encourages us, “Let us call upon him today, firmly rooted in prayer, for without prayer all our activity risks being fruitless and our message empty.” (Evangelii Gaudium, no. 259)
Lord, restore my soul and break the chains of anxiety and panic that bind me.
A Prayer for the Sick
Father God, we lift up all those who are facing illness today. We ask that You would bring healing, comfort and peace to their bodies. Calm their fears and let them experience the healing power of Your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. –Psalm 46:1
But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord. –Jeremiah 30:17
Keep us, good Lord, under the shadow of your mercy, in this time of uncertainty and distress, Sustain and support the anxious and fearful, and lift up all who are brought low; that we may rejoice in your comfort knowing that nothing can separate us from your love in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Gracious God, give skill, sympathy and resilience to all who are caring for the sick, and your wisdom to those researching for a cure. Strengthen them with your Spirit, that through their work many will be restored to health; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
