Congratulations Andrew Bergmann and Adrienne Ferguson!
Face Forward received many impressive applications this year for the 2018 Service Awards and we are pleased to announce that Andrew Bergmann and Adrienne Ferguson are this year’s recipients. Andrew and Adrienne will each receive $500 from Face Forward and the Office of Vocations for their outstanding service to their parishes, their communities, and to others.
Andrew Bergmann is a recent graduate of Grandview Heights High School in Grandview, Ohio and a remember of St. Christopher’s Catholic Church. His involvement at St. Christopher’s includes being an altar server, singer, and eucharistic minister. Andrew, an Eagle Scout, has dedicated many hours to service, including Key Club and Gardening Club. Andrew has been inspired by his past priest, Monsignor John Cody, by showing how important service is for bringing a parish and community together.
Adrienne Ferguson is a recent graduate of Bishop Watterson High School and a member of Our Lady of Peace parish. She has participated in many service opportunities in both school, her parish, and community. She has participated in the March for Life trip to Washington, D.C., volunteered three years for the St. Jude’s Research Fundraiser, and is a member of the Bishop Watterson Business Club. Additionally, she serves at the Grace Clinic in Delaware, Ohio, and has been serving as an altar server at Our Lady of Peace for four years. For the past five summers, Adrienne has participated in mission trips to a rural town, La Esperanza, Guatemala. Adrienne has been inspired by her service director, Mrs. Karissa Bowman, who has guided her understanding of service, and the idea that service is solely about others.
